The Central Coast Village Center
The "CCVC" is the local representation of a nationwide network of nature-based education schools, formed around the theory that genius in the arts and sciences springs forth from awareness of the fundamental principles of the natural world, and that emotional maturity, psychological balance and grounding come from a deep connection to self and place. Our programs are grounded in a mentoring philosophy based on our natural blueprint for learning, revealed through teachings of native cultures throughout the world. We offer programs within a community setting, for the preschool, home-school, and traditional student as well as present speakers and activities for the adult enthusiast.



About Us...
We are a 501c3 non-profit, non-sectarian organization located in San Luis Obispo, California. We are dedicated to building a strong community of children, families and adults through nature-based and alternative educational programs. We believe that “it takes a village to raise a child”. We also believe that a healthy rich connection to the natural world can create a deeper understanding of self, community and life in general. By developing a personal relationship with nature, one’s level of general awareness increases and makes learning on every other level efficient and life-long.
